…soprano Cristina Pasaroiu’s Mimi, already applauded on this stage in the roles of Rachel (La Juive) and Valentine (Les Huguenots), immediately embodies a heroine who is not timid and fragile, as tradition dictates, but a woman who knows what she wants by intentionally losing the famous key. As a true lyric soprano, she gives her character a broad, powerful voice, superbly timbred and warm, which continues to develop throughout the performance, becoming overwhelming from the famous “Addio” in the third act.
